Design a Product using wireless technology

I've been looking around and I can't seems to find any great communication systems for backstage. I would like to find someone who knows a lot about wireless technology and communication systems. Is there any newer technology that is recent that could help in a wireless communication system for theater? I would like a system that is all built into the headset with replaceable batteries but the main part is getting reliable wireless tech. Once we get that we can get into manufacturing and samples. I really am looking for someone to work closely with that has worked in this area before.
