Auto-updating HTML data grid through AJAX

I need JS/HTML code for a good-looking data grid that will take initial and automatic updates from an AJAX query to a backend script. The script will respond with a JSON object with values matching the column order. The grid, if given a certain value, will also blink the row a given color. The number of columns, size, and width should be flexible. I am writing the backend code, so it is flexible on how the JSON object will be structured.
