Would You like to encrypt the data which have been already added or which will be added in future? Do You want only one table to be encrypted? Hello perterwells, My name is Chad Crenshaw and I'm an experienced web applications developer. I'm not sure why you would want the randomizer to be in a different thread, but I'm familiar with programming salted passwords and multithreaded applications. How I would implement this: In the CreateAccount controller I would spawn another thread for retrieving a randomly generated salt, blocking while we wait for the salt to be generated, hashing the salt with the password, converting that hash to a byte array, then prepending the salt size to the byte array, convert the entire byte array to a string and store that as the password. That is how I implement randomly-sized salted passwords. I might need a bit of clarity on what you use a salt file for. I look forward to working with you. Regards, Chad Crenshaw
