Hello, which coding language would you prefer this be done in, because I'm comfortable doing it in C++ Java or even Matlab if needed. Averaging would work for your concept but we could also use some better methods to estimate the depth, at least weigh the samples by correlated distances, or maybe even do low pass filtering and curve fitting. Hello, so you need a program that reads CSV file, calculates distances between point using Longitude and Latitude data, then calculates new Longitude and Latitude points, which are 10 meters apart, calculates depth in those new points (by averaging) and then converts everything back in the original format? How accurate should positions of points be? Because I don't know exactly where that river flows. I can only assume it with given original points. When do you need it to be done?
