Hi Logolept. In my portfolio you can see some works of illustrations I've done. I do the following process to make them: 1. Collect reference, only for ideas, to make reallity the ideas on my head, for example: how a dragon looks when seeing up or down, just for having and idea. 2. Draw it on paper with pencil. 3. Put Chinese ink with a sumi-brush on lines of the drawing. 4. Scan the drawing, clean and add color in photoshop. It then have a hand-drawn but clean style, which makes it looks childish but still not losing quality. Please contact me by the chat if you liked my style or of you want more samples of my work.
