Hello, I would be the perfect person for this role as I have been Assistant Womenswear Designer for River Island's International (Ramadan/Eid) range and Design Assistant for the Woven tops department. The international department was a more elevated, detailed range with a higher price point, which allowed me to experiment with more extravagant garment décor and surface ornamentation. I have learnt so much about working in a fast-paced fashion environment. Following graduating from The University of the Creative Arts in 2013, I was chosen to present my Final major project at the British Fashion Council Graduate Preview Day, Graduate Fashion Week 2013 and interned at Vivienne Westwood's Red Label and Huishan Zhang. I will be a suitable candidate to carry out the tasks for this role because, I have had the experience working in a fashion studio and understand the process of design to production. I have experience of draping, construction, pattern cutting and grading. When liaising with manufactures it is very important to be clear and concise with the information that they need. I have good hand drawing skills but also the software and knowledge to create specification packs for manufactures and technical drawings. I am enthusiastic to work with your company and I will be a great representative always professional and efficient. This enables me to work with people in a creative atmosphere. In my past roles it was part of my job description to work and advise clients focusing on my expertise. I have designed and commissioned couture garments and textiles for internationals based clients. My personal design aesthetic is conceptual and I pay a great deal of attention to interesting ways of pattern cutting and construction. I like to think of myself as an innovative and original thinker who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a team. Although I have a personal style I would never let this determine or over rule a clients vision.
