Build a Website

Please read this very carefully before bidding. If you are set to auto bid please ensure you check these instructions. I have a client for whom I shoot the bulk of his photography. He runs a small restaurant and an outside catering business. He wants a new website the content of which, i.e. changing text and images from time to time, he can manage easily himself. The site must run on Windows, Mac, Windows Phone, all Apple tablet and phone devices and Android. The site needs to be cross platform. He is just about to have a virtual tour put up on Google Street View. The site will need three links: to Google Maps, Google Street View and the Virtual Tour. The site will be in UK English, and all text and the initial set of images will be supplied to you. There is a need for a site menu system and (probably JQuery) gallery slide show. A guide as to how the website should appear when it is finished is attached as a jpg image below. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bidders: this is what I want to see in your bid: 1. An estimate of the length of time it will take you to write the website and a simple CMS that will allow the client to amend text areas, images within HTML pages, and images within the slideshow from the keyboard of his Windows laptop; 2. The primary software you will use (apart from HTML and PHP, which I expect anyway); 3. Your native language, and your fluency in UK English. (Please note I personally work as a translator, and I can spot US English very easily. Your bid must be written in UK English, not US English). 4. Your proposed fee. 5. Your proposed milestone (escrow) plan. 6. THREE (not two, not four) URLs of websites you have written that are live on your client's server, not your own server. Points 3 and 6 are the most important, because your compliance with those two indicates that you can follow instructions. Get either of those wrong and you will definitely not get the job. If you have any questions, please ask. I will shortlist no more than five bidders, and my client will then discuss the proposals with me. The decision will be at least ten days from now, possibly longer, so please do not pester us. Short-listed bidders MUST have Skype available and be able to speak to the business owner during UK business hours or early evening times (i.e. 0800 - 2000 GMT). There is no need to supply a Skype ID at this stage and I will not discuss the project outside the messaging service here at this stage.
