Build a Website

The project is to build a brand new website, that is modern, slick but professional and accessible, and reflects the fundamental beliefs and ethos of EIS Crowd. The actual site will be able to present the projects we have available to a sophisticated and non-sophisticated potential client in a simple yet informative way. The site needs to be able to do the following: a) Allow for presentation of a number of projects (in summary form) on the initial/front page, with further details available after a very short sign-in/register process, which will have some regulatory details that need to be completed b) Be able to be updated and content changed on a regular basis, without losing the overall look of the site. This is fundamental as projects will change, deals will open and close, and information will need to be updated c) Allow for an informational and educational part to the site. This will mainly be filled with information about the taxation, process and regulation. There will be two parts to the site - a non-member part and a member part. - The non-member part will be a part educational, part regulatory/legal and part introductory (to the projects we have available for them to consider/invest in) - The member section will provide significantly more detail on each individual project, allow for information to be passed and uploaded, payments to be made and investments to be completed. Initial concept for the website is to present potential investments for clients to engage with, all are EIS/SEIS qualifying (thus significant tax breaks for the investor). We have an experienced team behind who go through each deal, check the accuracy and potential, write up a short investor deck, and present it to the masses for their consideration. The secondary part of the site is to encourage quality but young companies to submit to us their growth plans, to see if the types of cash raising are suitable for them. In order to make the site and business successful, we need to generate enough traffic from potential investors to assess and invest in the proposals we have for them to consider, and then encourage them to invest. This investment is not done live, but rather as a pledge for the future, when and if, a project receives enough funds pledged to proceed. Once the pledge level has been obtained, we will then process all the payments via the site, probably using Stripe. The member side of the site will need to be able to record, process and reconcile the payments, provide members with updates and information regarding the investments they have already made, and ensure that quarterly information that will be produced by each company that has been invested in by them is available. We would also like to have, if possible, a messaging/communication channel within the member area that we can push updates/messages to the individual investors on a regular and ad-hoc basis. This industry is a regulated industry, so has a number of regulatory requirements and disclosures that need to be met. These unfortunately are not optional, and therefore we’ll need to ensure these are integrated into the site.
