We are a non profit animal rescue organization that adopts puppies and their moms through it's Puppies in Poverty Rescue Program. We require a photo retoucher/editor with knowledge of and proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop or equivalent photo editing program. We will provide between 15 to 20 sets of raw digital pictures. The chosen Freelancer will crop photos and adjust color, saturation, etc. and generally work his or her artistic magic so as to present the best possible images, ultimately choosing the best 3 or 4 pictures (from each set) for posting.
We can not stress enough the fact that great pictures save lives as we have demonstrated time and time again for many years. People will visit our weekend adoption events based primarily on the quality of the pictures they see on our website and on animal adoption sites such as AdoptAPet.
We are not looking for creativity as much as we are looking to capture the puppy's personality. His expression, his eyes, his posture, etc. The picture must "POP" in such a way that the person seeing them will have a difficult time turning away from the image.
We will provide samples of what we're trying to achieve. Although we are not professionals, we have the basic ability to create the right image and drive potential adopters into our adoption events.
We hope that this will become an ongoing task, where we send our raw photos sometime late Wednesdays to early Thursdays each week and then those images are prepared and returned to us quickly. We must post our finished pictures on Wednesday or Thursday if we are to have enough time to promote our puppies and drive traffic to our Saturday adoption events. Please note, we are in California and so our time zone is PST.
