Design a Logo and Branding for a Training Company

UK Training has been delivering training in various financial and legislative subjects for over 30 years. Tens of thousands of people from thousands of the UK's leading organisations have benefited from our training. More than 90 of the top 100 UK companies have nominated people to attend our training courses and seminars. We are looking to improve our corporate branding and logo and would like a contributor to take a completely fresh look and approach to our corporate identity. Please do not be influenced by our current branding or design in any way at all. Also, please note that although the letters ‘UK’ are important to our core brand and identity, we do not want to be limited by it in future. We already have many overseas customers and as we expand our number of presentations that are delivered in other countries we would like to have some adaptability built in to our logo and branding. Do not feel that a UK Training colour palette should only contain red, white and blue. What we do We deliver seminars, both in the classroom and live online, in the following topic areas; VAT compliance, Finance and Accounts, Company Law, Employment Law and Import/Export Procedures. About our customers The bulk of our client base is made up of large and medium-sized organisations. The majority of delegates who attend our seminars are mainly in job roles such as Financial Accountants, Directors, Company Secretaries. Compliance and Legal Officers, Office Managers and HR staff, What the logo and branding should convey… UK Training has an established reputation for quality, professionalism and being ahead of the competition in explaining ‘emerging’ legislation. We also lead the market for VAT training. If possible, the corporate identity should reflect this sense of being out in front, being professional and having quality. Principal features of the logo and branding… Please make sure as many of the following ‘boxes’ are ticked as possible. Distinctive – Please be original and try to avoid clichés, particularly related to training (ticks, pens, lecterns, screens, stars, building blocks, etc.) Appropriate – Although we want to avoid clichés, it is still important that the branding is appropriate to and identifiable with UK Training. Versatile – The logo in particular should be versatile and scalable, so that the different elements from which it is made can be used in different contexts such as website, email, printed media and social media. The general branding should be practical across these platforms and also course documentation, presentations and mailshots. Graphic – The logo should ideally have an attention grabbing graphic element Simple – Often the best logos are the simplest – see Nike. Try to avoid over-elaboration, flourishes or cluttered designs. Memorable – The new logo should in some way be identifiable to our existing customers whilst being memorable to potential and new customers. The letters or image that make up the logo should make an impression, or raises a smile or makes an ‘association’ in the mind so that it becomes easily recognised as being ‘UK Training’. Colours – We don’t want to be committed to using a restricted colour palette, for example blue and red for the UK flag. Ideally, the branding should follow the colours of the logo but eventually the should work in any colours or at least a good range of colours. Thank You.
