I am an academician and market researcher with major in statistical analysis (i.e. SPSS, STATA) and data management. Regarding your project we need to have descriptive analysis (i.e. Frequency, Mean, Median, Std) in SPSS, Excel or other statistical software. Then we may cluster different customers based on their shopping habit (i.e. How many time spend in shopping, the average shopping spending, shop choice); we also can have factor analysis (i.e. CFA, PCA) to determine which factors are responsible for which customers and how? Here, we can formulate strategies based on the analysis to predict future and can also develop customer preference models (i.e. Regression, Structural Equation); we may also focus on trend by analyzing the sales numbers of different products.
