Plant Network architecture of power plant using SPPA-T1000 DCS system.

Currently entire plant is running on Single hot redundant Siemens SIERUG controller and SPPA-T1000 DCS System.

Client is planning to use separate controllers for every main areas.

Plant can be divided in following 3 main areas

1. ESP (electrostatic Precipitator) + AFBC (Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion) Boiler

2. TG (Turbine-Generator)

3. WHRB (Waste Heat Recovery Boiler)1 & 2. This area is Linked with DRI(Direct reduced Iron). WHRB is using heat from Steel plants and providing steam to common Steam header, which is connected to Turbine. WHRB, DRI and EPS related cabinets are remote cabinets having RX220P and ET200M IO modules. These IO racks are communicating using Profibus Interface Modules. These remote IM modules are connected using long distance fiber optic cable via LIU and OLM.

Presently client want to replace all obsolete RX220P modules with new ET200M modules for WHRB area as well as control WHRB 1 & 2 area using new S7 400 CPU and PCS7 operator station. Signals of WHRB 1 & 2 will be processed and controlled by new CPU using PCS7.

There are some critical parameters & interlocks of WHRB 1 & 2 which are connected to Turbine side controller i.e. SPPA T1000 DCS that need to be communicated through Proposed PCS7 S7 410-5H controller.

Hence, You are requested to confirm the data communication between the above two system (SPPA-T1000 in main control room while WHRB PCS7 system located approximately 1500 meters away from main control room) i.e. facility in SPPA-T1000 to add few parameters & interlocks from PCS7.

Also please suggest Hardware required (protocol converters) and protocols to be used for mentioned long distance communication.

Please clarify whether we have any facility in SPPA-T1000 to communicate with DP/DP coupler. Also all WHRB 1 & 2 signals must reflect on existing WHRB 1& 2 related HMI pictures in SPPA-T1000. Please confirm compatibility of SPPPA-T1000 HMI to reflect WHRB 1& 2 related signal values from PCS7.
