Hello. I able to make this project. But using of servo here is not most effective. Servos have small torque. For more heavy load, you may need more expensive servos. I'd recommend to use stepper motors and may be, reed switches. That not make whole device more complex (except several wires and magnets). All the work will made-out by Arduino. In any case, some simple calculations is needed for the best solution. For that calculations the information about the weight and size of material is necessary. Also, if plastic is really heavy, some slipping is possible. In this circumstances some additional hold-down feature may be involved. Dear Client, I am a professional electronics R&D design engineer who can take your project to the next level. I have designed, built and made a quad copter for my thesis which was successful in flight using BLDC motors. I am also an expert in controlling motors fast without no overshoot as this was critical in one of my previous designs (Quad copter). I've previously done lots of work with arduino, including servo control. Also have industry experience with automated machinery so could easily help with the design of the overall mechanical system. If successful I would look to design an arduino program which allows you to change the delay time between folds so that you can achieve the fastest possible folding without individual folding actions getting in the way of each other.
