India is home to about 10 million children and persons with autism and the disability has shown an increase over the last few years (OWSA, 2012)-One World South Asia. Typically, children with autism process visual information easier than auditory information. The use assistive technology devices with these children for intervention gives them information through their strongest processing area (visual). Therefore various types of technology from "low" tech to "high" tech, should be incorporated into every aspect of daily living in order to improve the functional capabilities of children with autism (Simpson,2005) The current technology of iPad may serve as an instruction strategy to benefit children with autism to develop reading skills. The iPad is a multi-sensory learning tool, delivering more than just visual support and auditory feedback, in that it provides tactile and kinesthetic feedback for learners. One of the iPad’s most attractive features is the extensive availability of applications (apps) to support literacy learning. The iPad has the additional benefits of being portable, cost effective, socially desirable, multi-sensory, and flexible to the needs of the students. By incorporating a variety of apps catered to students’ skill levels and interests into their daily routines, educators are empowered with another tool for making meaningful connections with their student. Unfortunately, to date, there is still limited empirical peer-reviewed research on using the iPad as an instructional tool to teach reading skills among children with autism. (Emerson, 2013) Therefore as an Ph.D Scholar I wish to attempt to develop and study the effect of an iPad mediated instruction strategy to enhance reading skills in children with autism. Hi I not a good programmer but I have ASD also For me connecting pictures with the letters and numbers helped the most. First I learnt the pictures and then we made up stories with the cahracters and became words, later sentences. With writing we done many fun task, walk like the letter, with a message ball we made the letter in our friends back, painted first in big later smaller, until it is ended up in the right size. Also we made up the letters with our own hands and our friends draw it around. We also sing the letters and tried to find words start with it and pronaced that. When I learnt foreign languges I also used this I hope I been able to help Ps: I still rember the numbers
