Consultants for Horseracing Scraping Project - repost

I am developing a formula-based system for betting on horse races by adapting concepts used in trading financial markets (analogous to technical analysis) and eliminating the judgment applied by traditional handicappers (analogous to fundamental analysis). This requires collecting data from various web sites and numerous files and importing it into a spreadsheet or database for analysis. In order to make an informed decision on the best application to collect the data, I am looking for programmers experienced in using any one or more of the numerous scraping programs who can demonstrate a particular program by walking me through the process of applying it to collecting one of the data steams to be collected. I am also looking for programmers who can demonstrate some of the various databases or spreadsheets and help me decide on which to use for manipulating the data and analysis. My time and budget are extremely tight relative to the scope of the entire project so I need to keep the rate as low as possible but will pay what I need to get the job done. I need to get this done asap and, rather than waiting for this ad to expire, would like to start as soon as I get a response from someone who can help me get started at a reasonable rate. Additional Requirements: You need to speak excellent English and be able to make a clear phone connection to the US. In addition to your hourly rate, please include the following in your response: 1) Which scraping program(s) &/or which database(s) or spreadsheet(s) you can demonstrate; 2) Your earliest available day & time to start (The sooner the better); and 3) The time of day (based on the Eastern time zone) you are generally available and whether you are available at night.
