We are a Consignment Store that Uses Microsoft Access to keep our customer database, enter sold items, and print out customer accounts for items sold and payouts.
The database we are currently using runs on Access 2002.
The program essentially works fine for us, but we would like to make a few changes to the way the program looks, and modify a few of the tables to better suit our needs. We would also like to use the program in access 2007. This seems like it would be a very simple project, but I dont have the skills to modify the database.
The main page of the program has 5 buttons

in this field there are the following:
account number name, address city state zip phone number
2. Add new customer:
in this field there are the following:
NAME address phone number, save record. add new record. return to main menu.
3. enter expenses
4. sell items
in this field there are the following:
account number, price date, customer amount, sales tax, summary
5. view reports:
in this field there are the following:
by description
by date
taxable by date
nontaxable by date
We want to delete the enter expenses tab. (number 3)
we get the following errors when we open the database in office 2007:
missing or broken reference [login to view URL] error
security warning certain content has been disabled.
When i try to "Sell items" in 2007 I get an error "Cant find project or library"
We dont get any of these errors when we run the program in office 2002.
In the "View Reports" Field, id like to be able to search by item description ( such as bed, candle, clock, sheet, or whatever the item may be) right now it just searches the fields by dates.
When we print out the customer sales report, if the report is 5 pages, the report will print out, but 10 pages will print, and every second page will have a single dot on the page and nothing else. We would like to correct this.
as far as the appearance goes... i would just like a cleaner more modern look, and would like to have a few animated gifs or buttons on the main menu to go into the different fields.
i will be able to supply the layout and graphics.

I'm currently working on projects in both Access 2002-3 and 2007 and am familiar with the functionality and limitations of each program.
To gain the most efficiency from the system, consideration should be given to permanently upgrading the format of the database to the Access 2007 file structure. Two important questions must be evaluated.
1. Ensure you have a .MDB copy of the program.
2. Verify that all computers that you wish to work on have Access 2007 installed.
It would also be helpful to know which version of Windows is being used.
All of the other items on your scope of work are straight forward and can be accomplished in my timeline outlined in my bid.
