Here is a brief description about the project to simplify the idea
The goal of the project is to enable the cloud user to search his encrypted data that is outsourced to cloud in privacy preserving manner (protect the outsourced data from malicious cloud)
It allows the user to encrypt the data on his side using searchable encryption before sending the data to cloud
When user wishes to search the encrypted data stored onto cloud , he sends encrypted query to cloud .
Cloud in turn will search the encrypted data without revealing the content neither the query and retrieve the response (the processing is done using MapReduce to increase the performance )
User then decrypts the response and finds the answer
I decided to use the algorithm proposed by the authors of attached paper titled ( privacy-preserving search in MapReduce )
