Monitor available supplies, materials, and products in order to ensure that customers and employees have access to the materials they need; in the meanwhile, avoid overstocking items.
Maintain daily records of shipments and invoices to check the items that need to be replenished.
Study sales numbers, construction supply needs and vendor availabilities to come up with an estimated amount of product to maintain.
Be capable to use inventory management softwares, and be responsible for using mathematical models to forecast future stock needs.
Maintaining a good working relationship with suppliers, mange orders from the appropriate supplier and negotiate pricing and a timeline for delivery.
