CTI Application Prototype This prototype is meant to mimic interactions between a task tray application and a phone system. In the prototype, we will build the task tray application that is a bridge between a 3rd party application ( such as a web application ) and the phone system. We will also build a Winforms simulator application that can be used to simulate the phone system. Please see 'Deliverables' section for more details ## Deliverables The pattern or flow of the application is that messages are received from either the 3rd party application or the phone system, events are handled, and the other system is notified. For instance, a user might click a link in a browser to dial a phone number. This link would be handled by the tray application and forwarded on to the phone system to actually place the call. The reverse process is also valid, where the phone system processes an inbound call, routes it to the tray application, which can then display a caller's info. Application 1 - Task Tray Listener Application - Installs as a task tray application. - Two parts to the application, an HTTP listener and a CTI EVent listener HTTP Listener - Listens for events via http, port 5150 - Accepts incoming requests via format of: http://localhost:5150/Dial?PhoneNumber=1234567890 - When it receives a request, it parses the command ( in the above example, Dial) and processes all arguments. - Upon parsing the command, it uses an event sink model to handle the request. Specific event handlers for each type of event should be supported. - Implement an event handler to handle the Dial request as above. When it receives the request, it should pop up a window (MSN style ) that displays "Calling Number: " + PhoneNumber Parameter - It should also forward the event to the Console application outlined below CTI Event Listener - Create a screen to login to phone system ( simulate login success ) - Application listens for events from external systems - Simulate events from phone system by creating a winform application that allows you to send messages on a socket or similar. See below for more details. - The listener application should start up and establish a connection to the Winforms app ( outlined below ) - When it receives a message, it should use an Event Sink model to spawn an event handler to handle the message - For purposes of this simple application, the event handler can just show the contents of the message in a popup ( MSN style) Application 2 - Winforms Application - Used to publish events to the CTI Listener - Should have buttons to simulate events such as 'Ringing', 'Call Answered', 'Hang up'. These events are pushed to the task tray application via socket connection or similar to simulate the phone system. - Used to display events from the HTTP listener event handler 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform .NET 3.5 VS 2005 / 2008
