I'm looking to create a window install software and possible also a dll which can be included in other windows programs. The main function that i want it to perform is to act as a proxy for windows users. It should modify registry proxy settings and when the user tries to connect to URLx this program will send him to URLy. I would prefer to be able to use wild card characters or regex or another way to partially match the urls. Also, if someone a person is already using Host file with his own rules this program should take priority. Bonus if this program can connect to my server once a week to download the newest list of urls to be matched up and replaced. I would like for this program to work fast and not give any error message even if something goes wrong it should figure another way to handle the situation. Do you foresee any problems with such an application?

Hi, I already created such program , which change the system proxy settings, and connect to remote URL server to read configuration. I can make the program as per your own needs, but I would not recommend to inject dll into other programs, because it wont work so good nowadays, in past it worked, but today many things changed since that time.
