We would like to add a browser to the cross platform (unicode) wxWidgets applications we are currently working on.
So far our applications are single file executables
**We need to have wxWebkit and all its dependencies compiled into a single statically linkable library for both Linux and Windows.**
**Notes:**
Rumor has it that LGPL code has been introduced into wxwebkit. If this is true then we need all BSD type licensed dependencies compiled into a single statically linkable library and the LGPL stuff compiled into a single dynamically linkable library for both Linux and Windows.
For Windows we use the Borland compiler in all our applications.
The wxWebkit project has requested help with adding support for other compilers to their project. With this project we therefore effectively plan to sponsor adding Borland compiler support to the wxWebkit Project. This can/will be coordinated by us with the main developer of wxWebkit.
**Remarks:**
The sample application should be a simple single file executable panel with the browser included.
It should have proper exception handling, a browser window crash should not be able to crash the "application"
The Borland compiler we use is available for free (explorer edition) here: [login to view URL]
Linux Compiler : gcc 4.1.2 or better
