We need to calculate projections of real-time stats. We need to develop a dim table that gives us insight into what percentage of sales each particular retailer historically represents from a certain number of retailers in a particular industry in Washington State. Once we understand the typical distribution of revenue, we'll be able to take live calculations for integrated licenses and extrapolate what we might be able to expect in sales from the remaining (missing) retailers.
We want to project real time wholesale and retail prices based on real time data of 15-80 retailers for an industry of approx 200 retailers. We have data from all retailers that is 45-75 days old and we need to project it to the updated data
Topics to consider:
· Any calculations done on live data should be able to join to market distribution dimension table using company identifiers. This join will be done to calculate estimations
· We will need to create "dummy" profiles for new businesses that have no historical data
· It will be important to add a time-component that considers different licenses' growth rate, when calculating market influence
· This project is exciting for a new industry. We need to make projections, we need to validate that we trust the methodology before disseminating it.
