Do some Blog Posting #2

The title of the piece will be something like "How can operational excellence transform a trust and corporate services company". I would like this to be a well-researched and well-written 500 word blog post. When I say research, I mean there must be cited references (e.g. from industry publications, publicly available material, etc.). An article like this will be read by owners of this kind of company, as well as their financial advisors (e.g. CFOs, investors, etc.), so given that this is the audience some hard facts relevant to this group should be included. Because its only 500 words, I want this article to be a "teaser" and focus on which strategies/practices/operating models/tools are available, what does the near future promise to bring, etc, and not on the details of how (obviously not possible with 500 words). It would be nice to include a few quotes from people in the industry (via publicly posted material). Many of the smaller players in this industry are looking at ever increasing costs to operate as the compliance and regulatory burdens mount, and consolidation is happening all around them with firm sizes increasing (and presumably becoming more efficient and easier to comply with said regs). Some of the material listed below will be in Dutch but a simple copy/paste to Google Translate should give you sufficient understanding.

Most trust companies still operate on a chargeable time basis (like lawyers). Some say that there is an increasing interest from clients to move towards fixed fee arrangements, but most clients -- especially if they are large multinational firms -- will care more about quality than a modest drop in total fees. This industry is also very much built up on relationships and trust between professionals/counterparties.
