Greetings! I am a native speaker of American English with experience as a public relations writer and freelance journalist. I teach writing classes at the college level and have just published a textbook on writing for undergraduate students. I hold a PhD in philosophy and an MFA in Creative Writing. Both of these academic programs are writing intensive and require book length thesis assignments. Recently, I have revived my career as a freelancer, but I have edited academic papers for the Veterans Administration in such fields as psychiatry and gerontology. For several years, I worked for an ophthalmologist, for whom I edited, revised and proofread medical textbooks, conference presentations, web materials, and personal correspondence.
