Hi, I'm confident I can do this job for you very quickly as I've been auditing hundreds of financial statements of various companies under UK GAAP who used different accounting systems. I have also recently audited a migration from one accounting system onto another and know what it is we need to check before making the new accounting system live. For example, the following control checks should be performed: 1. Reconciliation between the two systems and understanding of reconciling items 2. Review CoA (charter of accounts) mapping to make sure that CoA of the old system does match the new system 3. Clear all suspense accounts before the transition 4. Other steps - will discuss when we catch up. Entering dummy data won't be a problem - I just need to have a look at your accounts and general ledger from the old system to make sure that I will cover all accounts/types of transations which are relevant to your company.
