Question: Traditional strategic analysis depends upon the creation of a sustainable competitive advantage. Answer the question to the best of your ability. It’s really hard. 1) What do you believe is your firm’s sustainable competitive advantage or what should your firm be pursuing its sustainable competitive advantage. Explain & Defend. Then answer this: 4) Attempt to create corporate theory that is unique and explain the value you could create through capturing synergies by acquiring one of your competitor firms. Don’t allow the simplicity of these questions to fool you. You must demonstrate that you understand how to analyze problems in the manner described in the text to get at the answers. The biggest mistake you can make is answering this without demonstrating that you understand and can apply the theories of traditional strategic analysis. This can not be done in 1 and a half pages.
