Greetings, I need a script written which will parse files found in a directory on my windows computer. Your script will parse out 2 different sections of information in the files.
1. The title from the opening and closing <title> </title>
tags, so you will grab the title that is between the title tags and
2. An ID number that is on line number 9 of each page and that begins with a mystring= line
Your script must traverse through all the files in a directory on my computer and parse out those 2 pieces of data into a comma delimited text file on my computer containing that data so that I can import it into an access database.
When finished your text file will have 2 entries per line: which is again, the title, and the itemID. Each file has the same format so it is easy to parse, you will simply look for the title between the title tags, and then the data in the line beginning with my string that includes the item id.
I must be able to run this script on a windows machine. Payment will be made after I am able to run the script successfully on my machine and have the data parse correctly.
Very quick easy project if you are familiar with parsing or scraping data.
