ASP.NET GridView custom control - easy job!

I need someone to help me customize a GridView control. If needed, you can also create a custom control overriding this one. Tech requirements: + .NET 4.0 (nb: not 4.5); + C#; + ASP.NET - control will be used on webforms; + no 3rd party javascript/dll or any other kind of file that is not provided by me - or approved by me; + I would like you not to touch/alter in any way the files provided in the theme. If you change them to work with the requirement, they may break something else. If you need to change, try to override the behavior; Details: + I have bought an administration theme (MoonCake - Responsive Admin Template - available here: [login to view URL]) for an web application I need to build. They provide a lot of plugins and one of them is based on dataTable from jquery. I like the one they provide in their "live preview", "simple version", "Table/Data Table", "Filterable DataTable". This is how I need my GridView to look like; + I cannot use that one because it makes me download the entire dataset to the browser and if it is big, it will kill the client - therefore, I need to make it download a limited set of data and display it; + I need a GridView to look like that table but behave like a 'classic' control. I don't mind client-server roundtrips - as long as they are not with huge amount of data; + I don't like on the theme the combo with the number of elements to be displayed on the page and the main-search-box. I don't need them; + However, they provided an interesting option for the filtering boxes, but they put them in the footer. I need the filter boxes on top, right under the header and I want to have that grey text that disappears when the user starts to enter something. Also, I would like to be able to put there whatever kind of control I need - combo, checkbox, even date-picker ... + view/delete/edit links will be actually buttons (images). AFAIK, GridView already provides a way to customize this; + for each action, a call will be made to server (events !?) to get new data (no matter it is filter, sort, delete item, etc). It would be nice if you could do that without refreshing the page - this is for the cases when this grid is used with other controls,as well; Deliverables: + all source files (C#, js), images and other files used to build the control; + project/solution files - for Visual Studio 2010; PLEASE: + please, do not try to contact me on skype/voice/im.
