Contest Description

We are Purposeful Pup®, a premium dog treat brand sold online and in independent retail stores. We are seeking an experienced pet / regulated CPG packaging designer to redesign one of our product bags.
The winning designer will be awarded a paid contract to redesign our full product line.
This is a strategic redesign, not a cosmetic refresh.

Project Goal

Our current packaging is clean and premium.
The goal is to send an even clearer message of our key differentiators through improved hierarchy, clarity, and shelf communication.

The packaging should immediately communicate:

-Single Ingredient (top priority, front and center)
-Healthy Treats
-Premium quality and trust
-Key Brand Differentiators (Must Be Instantly Clear)
-Healthy Treats
-European Made
-Pet Parent Approved
-Whole Ingredients
-No Additives or Preservatives
-All Natural

We already:
-Color-code by protein
-Have a brand guide
-Have existing copy and nutrition information
-Your role is to optimize layout, hierarchy, typography, iconography, and visual communication.

Design Requirements

✔ Eye-catching on shelf and online
✔ Clear, fast-to-understand messaging
✔ Retailer-friendly and premium
✔ Consistent with existing brand identity
✔ Strategic, not decorative

Compliance & Experience (Required)

This packaging must be AAFCO compliant.
You must have experience with:
Pet food or pet treat packaging
Regulated CPG packaging
Understanding allowable claims and compliance
Designers without this experience should not enter.

Contest Deliverable

Redesign one (1) bag (Front & Back)
Improve overall structure and clarity
The selected designer will redesign our entire product line.

Hello Contest Holder, I have some questions. Before I join this contest, please let me know if you know the difference between AI design and real art design. Please reject AI-generated images. Choosing participants who generate only AI images will lead to regret. You won't receive any printable vector dieline templates, as these are usually raster images. Pay attention to the text; the text itself reveals that it's an AI image. For printing, a dieline template is needed, which is made into a vector file. How will this be made from an AI image?
