Exam.com needs your creativity !!!

Create a logo and banner for Exam.com (don't include the .com in the name). This is a startup website that will provide online exams, training content, and tutors for corporate and personal customers, so needs to be clean, crisp, and modern, but conservative enough for the corporate and education market.

The website will be responsive for desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile, so banners and logos need to look good in a variety of sizes. In addition to a mobile website I expect to develop exam and flashcard apps so the logo needs to be memorable and should also work as an App icon in appstores and on mobile screens.

I have not decided on colours or fonts yet, so please feel free to offer different alternatives.

Logo example ideas (please do include your own creative ideas ) :-
- green tick on top of red x, with, or without the word Exam below
- a box with a tick above a box with a cross inside forming a capital E. Ticks and crosses may be green and red, with boxes and backgrounds another colour, or it may be two or 3 tone, with ticks and crosses in silhouette.
- suggest you do an online search for exam , online exam, or educational related icons for additional ideas, but any submission should obviously be original work that will not lead to trademark or copyright legal complaints.

Banner example ideas (please do include your own creative ideas) :-
- the word Exam
- the word Exam with a large green tick in front of it, and the x in red
- the word Exam using exam related themes in the letters such as checkboxes in the E and m, or computer mouse at the end with cable under the word

I will try to give feedback on the submissions ASAP to help you improve. I will need more graphics design work done later for website navigation images and icons, so any finalists for this contest will be invited to bid on that work also.

I will need to receive vector graphics files along with special fonts if needed. I use Openoffice, so files should preferably be in a format that can be opened by that application to generate bitmaps of various sizes.

  your entry was one of the top two, and the final decision was difficult and took a long time. There was nothing wrong with your entry, and it matched the competition specifications, but in the end there can be only one winner. I understand that you put a lot of effort in, with no reward in the end, and so did many others, but that is the nature of a competition. The risk is higher, but so is the reward. Sorry you feel that I made a mistake and chose the wrong logo for my company. Understand that in addition to paying for this competition it also cost me probably 30 hours of my time to judge all the entries and give feedback, so instead of saving me time and money it ended up a lot more expensive in time and money than it would have to just hire one freelancer.

  New entries seem to have stopped so I hope to make a final decision tomorrow. If you can see any opportunity for cleanup / improvement / alignment of entry 222 today is the last chance. Would be good to see the tick/cross logo from entry 222 as an iPhone App style icon.

Please submit ORIGINAL and CREATIVE ideas. I am seeing a lot of recent entries just copying the work of previous entries. Still haven't seen much creativity in the icons. No 3d images. No icons of people sitting at computers or at desks. No good icons of multichoice exam papers, exams on a mobile screen, exams n a PC screen ....
