Freelancer CAD Project – Sacred Balinese Pendant (CAD Clean-Up + Final Production Exports)

I’m looking for an experienced Jewellery CAD specialist to help finalise a premium sacred Balinese-inspired pendant, designed for 22k gold casting (lost wax method).

The pendant is already mostly complete in CAD, so this project is largely production clean-up and export preparation, not a full redesign.

This is a beautiful, high-impact piece and I’m excited to bring it into real gold casting.

Project Overview

I have a pendant model that is already modelled in CAD. What I now need is a precise, production-ready clean-up, followed by creation of the supporting 2D vector artwork.

Approximately:
• 90% execution work (clean-up, tolerances, manufacturability checks)
• 10% minor tweaks if needed once geometry is confirmed

This should be very straightforward for someone experienced in jewellery CAD.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Clean and refine the existing pendant CAD model
• Polish fillets and edges (no knife edges)
• Check wall thickness and manufacturability
• Confirm watertight solids for printing/casting
• Add jump-ring / bail tolerances
• Export final casting-ready manufacturing files
• Produce clean 2D artwork versions for engraving/marketing use

My preferred environment is:
Rhino / MatrixGold (strongly preferred)
Fusion 360 also welcome
Other professional jewellery CAD workflows accepted

Deliverables Required

From the finished model I will require:

3D Manufacturing Outputs
• STEP/STP files (Front + Rear / Master solid)
• STL files (Front + Rear / Master solid)
• Clean DXF drawing/export

2D Artwork Outputs
• Adobe Illustrator (.AI) vector master
• SVG export (clean, usable for laser/marketing)

Preview / Review
• High-res transparent PNG render (for quick visual approval)

Key Notes
• The design intent is locked (no major redesign required)
• Detail must stay crisp and survive casting + polishing
• Front and rear must match the same outer shape where required
• Minor refinements are acceptable if they improve manufacturability

You’re perfect for this job if you:
• Have demonstrable experience producing pendants / medallions
• Understand casting requirements (lost wax workflow)
• Know how to create clean relief work and maintain sharp detail
• Can deliver professional outputs efficiently

    I have been advised the following and I rather do it through here to protect you from anything further. - Require freelancers to submit drafts that showcase their process (e.g., preliminary sketches or development stages). - Instruct them to provide use evidence of using CAD tools (e.g., screenshots with timestamps). Please make sure it's utilising Rhino and or MatrixGOLD or Fusion 360. - There are many of your pieces I am incredibly fond of hence im only given this opportunity to you and should it be the case, the others will be flagged for review.

    With handover I have written extremely detailed milestones. There is also a handover pack with a checklist that will assist, as well as full directions on exact specifications that will need to be met, and then I will verify them.

    There is a manuscript that will be accompanying this pendant that will need graphics design assistance for either adobe express or indesign .

    This project is incredibly special to me, and I have put a decent amount of money down, hence if anyone was to be using AI for this I would be heartbroken. It is for my little brother. And it's to symbolise my pride in him, love and brotherhood, that it may last beyond time. It is also going to be a sacred ceremonial piece that will go through a process after being created by a Balinese Gold Artisan and designed by hand. There will be a manuscript for the Mangku *Hindu priestess from the oldest temple in Bali that will be blessing this for us* so this project means a lot to me, and each detail I have incorporated in design has been purposeful; and has symbolic meaning. I hope that gives you more of a background into why this project means so much.
