I need a single cartoon character created, in the style of 1960's Hanna Barbera and similar - a classic character in other words. The character is named International Fighting Squirrel and is a female, non-sexualised character wearing at least a blouse and possibly jeans or leggings. The key squirrel signifiers are the teeth, the ears, and the tail, and I'm thinking bodily proportions should be similar to Chip 'n' Dale but with the exaggerated tail. We've had a go at it already but the results were not satisfactory (image attached with PROTOTYPE written across it) as both facial features and overall drawing didn't 'hit the spot' in a number of ways. It does give an idea of the general feel, but not the look. There's another watermarked image attached that gives an idea for the look, but not the feel. I need these merged into one working image that captures what I've described.

The target output of this project is for a poster for a friends' 10 year old daughter's bedroom (and maybe a t-shirt) but I shall want all rights to the single drawing signed over lest it be used for anything else. This is about a positive self image for young girls and them standing up for themselves (so in the realm of anti bullying but not specifically that), and should be feisty but not overly hostile or aggressive.
